The love we have for our children is like no other. We want to protect and watch over them at all costs. No matter how old they get, they will always be on our minds. The truth is, we probably feel them more when they’re away.

In this day and age, our kids can be just as busy as us. The information and access to new computer gadgets is staggering. How do you compete with technology? The answer is….Technology. No matter how cool we try to be, as parents, its hard to compete with YouTube and Video Games. Look at Will Smith. He is the most popular actor in the world; He’s the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Undisputed Mr. Box Office. But to his kids, he’s the dude who married mommy.

But at the end of the day, Daddy is the guy that makes them feel safe. Mommy is the woman that knows their heart. Single parents have to try and fill BOTH roles. As parents, we believe in our children. And as far as the gap becomes in our social scenes, the people we call family will always be our home. No matter how many computer gadgets are created, the bond between Parent and Child is infinite belief. Besides, who else is gonna buy all that junk for them.

How do we maintain this security when we are away? It is impossible to be everywhere and with everybody we love.
